چکیده

The present investigation was carried out at the experimental farm of Department Seed Science and Technology, Dr YS Parmar University Horticulture Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP)-173 230 during 2018 2019. treatment modules comprising different doses Jeevamrit applied as drench (25ml/m2, 50ml/m2, 75ml/m2 100 ml/m2) foliar spray (5%, 10%, 15% & 20%) 15 days interval, alternatively + Brahmastra @ 2.5 % Neemastra 7 along with RDF, untreated control an organic module based on Trichoderma viride. field experiment conducted in Randomized Block Design (RBD) 19 treatments replicated thrice. Although, maximum values for number seeds per capitulum (268.12), seed yield plant (14.74 g), plot (176.90 hectare (327.59 kg), 1000 weight (2.56 germination (85.13 %), seedling length (12.66 cm), fresh (0.55 dry (7.78 mg), SVI-I (1077.68), SVI-II (662.55) were recorded M18 (RDF (100% NPK) FYM 5 kg/m2) it found to be statistically par M16 (Drenching ml/m2 Foliar application 20 intervals, alternatively) which had highest speed (33.36).

Effect of Colchicine on in Vitro Polyploidy Induction in African Marigold (tagetes Erecta)

Colchicine was used as chemical mutagen for In vitro induction of polyploids. Nodal segments of In vitro grown marigold plantlets were cultured on MS medium supplemented with four different concentrations of colchcine (0.0%, 0.001%, 0.01% and 0.05%) for 12h, separately. After treatment, nodal segment were shifted to colchicine free MS medium for normal growth. Highest mortality rate (72.74%) an...

Shelf stability of lutein from marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) flowers in vegetable oils

The stability of lutein in sunflower and rice bran oils was investigated in the temperature range 25–40 °C. Experiments were made using a standardized plant extract at 5% by weight of lutein derived from the flowers of Tagetes erecta L. Samples of the pigment in oil were incubated at each temperature for up to 10 days and the time course of degradation was monitored. A kinetic analysis of the d...
